Throughout all the moves and traveling that came with growing up in a French-American military family, Christopher and I have always found ourselves paired up as bunkmates. As a child Christopher used to corral the neighborhood kids and put them to work fabricating tree forts on the local golf course or reenacting mock wargames he’d learned about on the history channel; often using our father’s spare MRE’s from an Iraq deployment as payment for the cheap labor. After his high school graduation, Christopher earned an appointment to United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and now serves as a Captain in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. Christopher has just returned from his first tour in Afghanistan, during which his second son, Benjamin, was born. Christopher and his wife, Hanna, are happily married and have two baby boys, Owen and Ben.
